Winter in the Mountains @ CD Sunday

When I saw the challenge at CD Sunday was "Winter in the Mountains" the only cd I could think of looking at was my Thomas Kinkade one. This is what I found there - mountains albeit in the distance but I think the general feeling is that it is winter in the mountains.

I decided to use part of one of the backing papers that had the same image in a sepia tone for the background and then put the smaller coloured version on top. Various die cuts later and my card is finished.

It feels like winter in the mountains here today actually - freezing!

Absolutely gorgeous, a beautiful image and the background and die cuts are perfect with it. I know they call him the "painter of light" and you've really brought that out on this card.
Thanks for sharing it with us at CD Sundays

Love the TK image and whole Wintry feel to your card. I love TK art, we were lucky enough to see one of his exhibitions last year on holiday and always marvel at his ability to bring his work to life through his use of colour.

The sepia toned DP in the background is beautiful. Looks great with this image. I LOVE the way you did the trees with the wee hill over the MErry Christmas die. I have that same die and always feel it looks to stark, once i have finished up a card with it. Shall keep this idea of overlaying it with something else!
